The Retrax RetraxPRO XR T-80871 is a manual retractable, double-wall aluminum tonneau cover with integrated T-slot rails, built for the 2024-2025 Toyota Tacoma with the 6-foot bed.

XR is the version of the PRO MX that stops making you choose between a sealed bed and a loaded rack. The side rails carry T-slots the length of the bed, so crossbars, cargo baskets, tie-down hardware and rooftop tents mount above a cover that still retracts underneath them. On a fourth-generation Tacoma — a truck people buy specifically to carry recovery gear, a bike, or a tent to a trailhead — that is the difference between a tonneau and a cargo system.

Fitment

The T-80871 fits the 2024-2025 Toyota Tacoma with the 6-foot bed — the fourth-generation truck, not the 2016-2023 Tacoma, which used entirely different Retrax part numbers. It is the long-bed application: a 2024-2025 Tacoma with the 5-foot bed takes a different part number. Does T-80871 fit a 2023 Tacoma?

No. T-80871 is a fourth-generation part starting at the 2024 model year. The 2016-2023 Tacoma uses separate Retrax part numbers.

Can I run crossbars or a rooftop tent on this cover?

Yes. That is the point of the XR. The integrated T-slot rails connect racks, cargo holders, tents and crossbars, and take T-slot accessories from Yakima, Thule, Rhino Rack and other major brands.

How much weight does the closed cover hold?

500 lb evenly distributed, which is the aluminum-slat rating rather than the 200 lb polycarbonate rating of the RetraxONE line.

Is this the electric version?
