Diode Dynamics part DD8836 is the SS10 Max White Combo configuration of the Stealth Bumper Lightbar Kit for the 2024-2026 Toyota Tacoma. Two 10-inch Stage Series SS10 light bars sit behind the factory grille on CAD-designed application brackets, so the truck keeps a stock silhouette by day and gains a serious block of forward light the moment the switch is thrown.

Stealth is the whole idea. Roof bars throw glare onto the hood; bumper hoops change the truck's look. This kit hides both bars in the lower fascia and needs no cutting or drilling, though Diode Dynamics flags one install modification: "The 3 lowest Active Air Dam System shutters will be removed on each side, and not re-used. If necessary, they can be reinstalled in the future!"

Max is the top of the three Stage Series power tiers on this bracket, built around the same Osram HX Boost emitters used in the Max SS3 and C2 2.0 pods. Diode Dynamics publishes 15,840 raw lumens and a 61-watt, 4.77-amp draw at 12.8 volts, paired here with a 6000K white combo optic at 60 by 30 degrees — spread for the near field with enough centre intensity to see down the trail. Patented TIR optics do the shaping, an aluminium heatsink under an ASTM-standard powdercoat does the cooling, and the assembly is IP69K rated and validated from -40 to 85 degrees C to SAE standards.

Fitment

Diode Dynamics lists part DD8836 for the 2024, 2025 and 2026 Toyota Tacoma, mounting behind the front grille in the lower bumper opening, and rates the install at one to two hours. Diode Dynamics publishes no trim, cab, bed, transmission or powertrain restriction for this kit. The one install caveat it does publish is the Active Air Dam System: three shutters come out per side and are not re-used, though they can be reinstalled later. It is not listed for the 2016-2023 Tacoma, the 4Runner or the Land Cruiser. DD8836 is the Max White Combo; DD8838 is Max White Driving, DD8837 is Max Yellow Combo, DD7952 and DD7950 step down to the Pro and Sport tiers, and DD7949P is the bracket kit alone.

FAQ

Does DD8836 require cutting or drilling the Tacoma bumper?

No. Diode Dynamics uses factory mounting points and states no cutting or drilling is required, but the three lowest Active Air Dam System shutters are removed per side and not re-used. They can be reinstalled later.

What is the difference between DD8836 and DD8838?

Both are SS10 Max White kits on the same brackets. DD8836 is the combo beam pattern at 60 by 30 degrees; DD8838 is the driving pattern.

How bright is the SS10 Max kit?

Diode Dynamics publishes 15,840 raw lumens for the SS10 Max White, on a 61-watt, 4.77-amp draw at 12.8 volts.

Does the kit fit a 2026 Toyota Tacoma?

Yes. Diode Dynamics lists model years 2024, 2025 and 2026.
