Retrax T-90462 is a PowertraxPRO XR - the powered retractable bed cover - sized for the 6.5 ft. box on 2014-2018 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra 1500, the 2019 Legacy and Limited carryover trucks, and 2015-2019 Silverado 2500HD/3500HD and Sierra 2500HD/3500HD. Instead of folding into a stack, the cover rolls into a sealed canister behind the cab, and it does it on a motor: two key fobs come in the box, so the bed opens and closes from wherever you are standing.

The XR designation is the part that separates this from the rest of the Retrax range. XR covers carry the Trax Rail System - full-length T-slot rails built into the cover's own side rails - so a rack, a rooftop tent, a bike carrier or a set of crossbars mounts to the cover itself rather than to the truck. Retrax states the rails accept most T-slot accessories from name-brand manufacturers, which puts Yakima, Thule and Rhino-Rack hardware in play on a truck that still has a fully sealed, fully retractable bed.

T-90462 fits the 6.5 ft. box on 2014-2018 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra 1500, on the 2019 carryover trucks Chevrolet sold as the Silverado 1500 LD (Legacy) and GMC sold as the Sierra 1500 Limited, and on 2015-2019 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD/3500HD and GMC Sierra 2500HD/3500HD. That 1500-plus-HD spread is wider than the supplier feed suggested and comes from Retrax's own application. Does not fit the redesigned 2019-and-later Silverado or Sierra 1500 - Retrax builds T-90482 for that truck's 6.6 ft. box.

Does T-90462 fit a 2019 Silverado 1500?

It fits the 2019 carryover truck - the Silverado 1500 LD, which Retrax catalogs as Legacy or Classic - and the 2019 heavy duties. It does not fit the redesigned 2019 Silverado 1500; that truck's 6.6 ft. box takes T-90482.

What is the difference between T-90462 and 90462?

The T prefix is the XR rail system. T-90462 is the PowertraxPRO XR with integrated full-length T-slot rack rails; 90462 is the PowertraxPRO MX, the same powered retractable cover without the T-slot rails.

Can I mount a rack or a rooftop tent on it?

Yes, that is what the XR rails are for. Retrax states the Trax Rail System accepts most T-slot accessories from name-brand manufacturers. Crossbars and accessories are not included and are bought separately.
