Extang 80457 is the Endure ALX hard folding tonneau cover for the 6 ft. 7 in. standard box on 2019-2026 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra 1500 pickups with the redesigned body. Unlike a three-panel tri-fold, the Endure ALX runs four half-inch EnduraShield TPO panels, and that fourth fold is the point: the stack goes all the way forward against the cab, so the bed opens completely instead of two-thirds of the way.

Extang has done the awkward homework on this generation of GM truck. The cover is published as compatible with or without the Multi-Pro and Multi-Flex tailgate, which is the question most Silverado and Sierra buyers ask first. It is equally explicit about what it will not do: it will not work on a bed fitted with the factory side storage boxes, and it is not compatible with the GMC CarbonPro composite bed.

Fitment

80457 fits the 6 ft. 7 in. standard box on 2019-2026 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and 2019-2026 GMC Sierra 1500 with the redesigned body. The 2019 model year is split, and this is the half that matters: the carryover 2019 Silverado 1500 LD and Sierra 1500 Limited are a different truck and are not covered here. Does not fit a bed with the factory side storage boxes, and does not fit the GMC CarbonPro composite bed. The Multi-Pro and Multi-Flex tailgates are fine either way.

FAQ

Does 80457 work with the MultiPro tailgate?

Yes. Extang publishes the Endure ALX as compatible with or without the Multi-Pro and Multi-Flex tailgate, so a MultiPro-equipped Silverado or Sierra takes the same part number as one with the standard tailgate.

Will 80457 fit a GMC Sierra with the CarbonPro bed?

No. Extang states the cover is not compatible with the CarbonPro bed. The CarbonPro box has different rail geometry, so the clamps do not land correctly.

Does it fit a 2019 Silverado 1500 LD?

No. 80457 is for the redesigned 2019-and-later body. The 2019 carryover LD and Sierra 1500 Limited are the previous truck and take a different Extang part.

How is the Endure ALX different from the Solid Fold ALX?

The Endure ALX uses four half-inch panels and folds fully to the cab for complete bed access; Extang's Solid Fold ALX for this same truck and bed, part 88457, uses three one-inch panels rated to 600 lb. and gives roughly two-thirds bed access. Pick the Endure for access, the Solid Fold for load rating.
