Why upgrade: precision-machined in the UK from high-grade grey iron, the fine slots keep rear pads degassed and wearing parallel for a firmer pedal and quieter stops, while the black thermic anti-corrosion coating protects the hat and vanes from rust (the coating in the pad swept area wears away over the first 10-20 stops — do not remove it with brake cleaner).
