The CVF Performance Intercooler + Aluminum OEM Pipe Kit Bundle (part number EXPICPKB) is a direct-fit charge-air cooling package for the 2020-2026 Ford Explorer ST, the 3.0L Ford Explorer and the Lincoln Aviator 3.0L. It pairs CVF's bar-and-plate intercooler with the matching hot-side and cold-side aluminum charge pipes, replacing the restrictive factory core and piping in a single kit. Installation is bolt-on and requires no cutting or permanent modification. It does not fit the 2.3L Explorer; the intercooler-only CVF EXPIC covers that engine.
Less heat, more consistent power
The intercooler core measures 26.5" x 15.75" x 2", giving 214% greater volume and 260% greater frontal area than the factory unit. CVF reports an 85-degree reduction in charge-air temperature observed in real-world street driving rather than on a dyno. Cooler, denser charge air is what lets the 3.0L EcoBoost hold timing instead of pulling it back on a hot day or a second pull.

Choosing the right kit for your model year
Ford changed the hot-side connection partway through 2021. Explorer ST models built before mid-2021 use an OEM bypass valve (BPV) on the hot-side connection; models built from late 2021 onward have no OEM BPV. CVF supplies the matching hot-side pipe for your car. Tell us your build date (before or after 09/2021) in the order notes and we confirm the correct hot-side pipe with CVF before it ships; if you are not sure which build a 2021 car is, say so and we will check.

Does this bundle fit a 2022 Ford Explorer ST?
Yes. The 2022 Explorer ST uses the 3.0L EcoBoost and is covered by this bundle. A 2022 car is a late-build configuration with no OEM bypass valve, so it receives the corresponding hot-side pipe.
What is the difference between this bundle and the intercooler on its own?
The standalone CVF Performance Intercooler (EXPIC) replaces the core only and reuses the factory charge piping. This bundle adds both aluminum charge pipes and the couplers and clamps to install them.
Does it fit the Lincoln Aviator?
Yes. CVF lists the 2020-2026 Lincoln Aviator 3.0L as a covered application, since it shares the Explorer ST's 3.0L EcoBoost layout.
Is a blow-off valve included?
No. This bundle uses the OEM-style pipe configuration and includes no blow-off valve. CVF offers a blow-off valve option only on 2020 and early-2021 cars, which are the model years fitted with the OEM bypass valve.
Does this bundle fit the 2.3L Ford Explorer?
No. The pipe kit is specific to the 3.0L EcoBoost, so this bundle is for the 3.0L Explorer ST and Lincoln Aviator only. For a 2.3L Explorer choose the standalone CVF Performance Intercooler (EXPIC), which CVF lists for both engines.
