The AMP Research BedXtender HD Max (74840-00A) is a folding aluminum truck-bed extender for the 2019-2023 Ram 1500 (fifth-generation DT body), finished in matte silver. Flipped out over the lowered tailgate it adds up to 2 feet of usable cargo length; flipped inside with the tailgate closed it corrals smaller loads against the bulkhead.

Fitment

Fits the 2019-2023 Ram 1500 (fifth-generation DT body) with a standard bed. Does not fit RamBox cargo-management beds or the Multifunction (split) tailgate. If your truck is the previous-generation Ram 1500 Classic (sold new alongside the DT), verify the body style before ordering — it uses a different bed extender application.

Which BedXtender is right for you

The HD Max is the U-shaped full-cage design for the most corralled space. The HD Sport is narrower and adds clearance for tonneau cover rails, and the HD Moto is tapered for hauling a motorcycle. This 74840-00A is the matte silver finish; a textured matte black version is sold under a separate part number.
