What is the difference between the GMRS and M1 radio options?
The G1 and Rambler G4 are GMRS radios that talk to all GMRS and FRS radios, while the M1-V is a VHF business-band radio that talks only to other business-band radios. The two bands are not cross-compatible.
Does it require drilling?
No. All mounting uses factory bolt locations and no drilling is required.
Do I need a license?
The GMRS radios require an FCC GMRS license (no exam, covers your household, valid 10 years); the M1-V requires an FCC business-band license.
