The Rugged Radios 4C IMSA Helmet Kit (HK-IFC) is a wired in-helmet communication kit for sports-car road racing that uses a 4-conductor IMSA plug and a coil cord, with a dynamic noise-cancelling mic and a 3.5mm (1/8 in) earbud jack. It is used in series such as LMP2, GT3, GT4 and TCR and installs into most helmets.

Compatibility

Connects to a standard IMSA car harness using the 4-conductor (4C) plug. The coil cord retracts to stay out of the way. This version has an earbud jack and requires mono earbuds; it does not include helmet speakers. Does not fit a 3-conductor NASCAR harness. The mic boom and cable junction block install with hot glue or the Rugged Quick Mount (HK-QM, sold separately); it is not a plug-in-only install.

What racing harness does this IMSA kit plug into?

It uses the 4-conductor (4C) IMSA plug and connects to a standard IMSA car harness. It does not fit a 3-conductor NASCAR harness.

Does it use earbuds or built-in speakers?

This version uses a 3.5mm jack for mono earbuds and does not include helmet speakers. For built-in speakers, choose the HK-IFSP speaker version.

How does the kit mount in the helmet?
