The Rugged Radios BAT-ELM-R1 is a 12V battery eliminator for the Rugged R1 handheld radio that powers the radio from your vehicle's accessory outlet. Remove the R1's battery, slide the eliminator into the battery bay — no wiring or tools — and plug it into a 12V auxiliary/accessory outlet for continuous power. It is built for long road trips and week-long trail events where AC outlets are scarce, and it lets you save your batteries for when you need them.
Compatibility
It fits the Rugged R1 handheld only. For other Rugged handhelds use the matching eliminator (for example BAT-ELM-GMR2 for the GMR2, or BAT-ELM-RDHX for the RDH-X). The radio is sold separately.
