BAK Industries BAKFlip MX4 448406 is a matte-finish hard folding tonneau cover for the 2005-2015 Toyota Tacoma with the 5' (60.3 in) bed, listed by BAK for trucks carrying the factory OE track system. That second-generation Tacoma short box is one of the most-covered beds on the road, and the MX4 is the heavy end of the BAKFlip range for it.

Where the aluminum G2 uses a plain skin, the MX4 runs high-density polymer-reinforced aluminum top panels on aluminum side rails, and the entire assembly - panels, rails, hardware - is finished in a textured matte black rather than a gloss. Tight-fit clamps and revised EPDM rubber perimeter seals do the weather work. Installation is a click-in bolt-on job that BAK puts at under 30 minutes with no drilling on most applications.

Fitment

448406 fits the 2005-2015 Toyota Tacoma with the 5' (60.3 in) bed, and BAK's listing specifies trucks with the OE track system.

This part number does not have the universal tailgate function, so the tailgate has to be closed before the cover is closed - it is not one of the BAKFlip applications that latches down over a dropped tailgate. It is also not the 6-foot Tacoma bed cover, and it does not fit the 2016-2023 Tacoma, which BAK covers with its own part numbers.
