The AMP Research PowerStep Plug-N-Play (76243-01A) is a complete pair of electric retractable running boards for the 2019-2024 Ram 2500 and 3500 gas models in all cab configurations. Each board deploys the instant a door opens and retracts flush under the cab when the doors close, and the harness plugs into the factory OBD-II connector with no wire splicing.

Why owners choose it

Auto-deploys the instant a door opens, then retracts flush under the rocker a few seconds after the doors close.
Plug-N-Play wiring: the vehicle-specific harness plugs into the factory OBD-II connector, so no factory wires are cut or spliced.
Extruded aluminum step board, 6 in. wide with a non-slip tread, rated to support 600 lb per side.
Die-cast aluminum linkage with PTFE coating and stainless steel pivot pins resist corrosion.
Weather-sealed electric motors and integrated LED step lights for all-weather, night-time use.
Hidden under the rocker when retracted for full ground clearance and a clean factory look.

What's included

Includes the driver- and passenger-side PowerStep assemblies with motors, a vehicle-specific Plug-N-Play wiring harness and control module that connect to the factory OBD-II connector with no splicing, mounting brackets and hardware, integrated LED step lights, and an installation guide.

Which AMP step fits your truck

FAQ

Do I have to cut or splice any factory wires?

No. The PowerStep Plug-N-Play uses a vehicle-specific harness that plugs into the factory OBD-II connector, so no wire cutting or splicing is required.
